Research: Alfred Hitchcock's filmmaking techniques

One of the directors that influences me the most is thriller director, Alfred Hitchcock. I decided to learn more about him, and the techniques he used to make his films, and as I am doing a film in the thriller genre, he is the perfect role model.
In my research I found out a few key points that will help me do my film opening. These are;

• Make sure it will effect the viewer.
• To show emotion, use framing.
• The camera isn't just a camera; it can have human qualities.
• Dialogue isn't as important as what the camera shows.

I will be looking to incorporate these four things into my film.
